Filmmakers Ananth Mahadevan and Lakshmi R Iyer joined Vishvas Mote, Dr.Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, Siddhant Gill and Vedant Gill of Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation, Local Councillor Sudha Singh, Yogendra Kachhawa of BMC's in BMC's Be A Tree Parent MEGA Vriksha Campaign with the plantation of an Undal tree at Kalapradarshani Udyan, DN Nagar, Andheri West.
They joined the likes of Hema Malini, Ranvir Shorey and son Haroon Shorey, Dino Morea, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Abhishek Bachchan, Bappi Lahiri, Bappa B Lahiri, Shatrughan Sinha, Sonakshi Sinha, Poonam Sinha, Ajay Devgn and son Yug Ajay Devgn, Sonu Nigam, Gulshan Grover, Karanvir Bohra, Teejay Sidhu, Raya Bella Bohra, Vienna Rose Bohra, Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Katya Tejwani and Nevaan Tejwani, Dr Mickey Mehta, Nikita Rawal, DCP Abhishek Trimukhe, Rupali Suri, Vatsal Sheth, Amit Behl, Ayesha Jhulka, Dr. Aneel Kashi Murarka, Saniya Saiyad, Ashnoor Kaur, Advait Mote and MLA Ameet Satam, Veronica Vanij and Malvi Malhotra who are all proud tree parents!
"It has been a great association with Anusha Srinivasan Iyer and Make Earth Green Again [MEGA] Foundation. We have worked together on a lot of issues from animal welfare to tree plantations. I am born and brought up in Kerala, amid Coconut trees and loving animals from dogs and cats to cattle and elephants! I'd say har ek girey hue jhaad ke liye hume dus jhaad lagana chahiye.. yehi muheem lekar aagey chalna hai," expressed Ananth Mahadevan.

Whenever he associates with a cause, be it animal welfare or be it planting trees with us, he does it from his heart. World Environment Day 2021 marked the start of BMC’s ‘Be A Tree Parent’ MEGA Vriksha Campaign. Instituted by the K West Ward of the BMC, along with Dr. Anusha Srinivasan Iyer of Make Earth Green Again MEGA Foundation and Shaan Lalwani from Vriksha Nursery, the campaign involves and encourages societies and residents to adopt tree pits from the 348 Mumbai locations where trees had fallen in the K West Ward, post Cyclone Tauktae, and replant identified, fast-growing native tree species in those locations. The campaign has caught on like wildfire with many celebs and citizens joining in.
