While listeners gathered insights on the artists, songs, genres and podcasts that defined their 2020, Spotify has also released the list of Most Streamed Bharatiya Indie Artists on the platform.
Digital sensation Bhuvan Bam who launched his single ‘Heer Ranjha’ earlier this year is also a part of the musically diverse list featuring singer-songwriters, electronic artists and bands thriving outside of the commercial space. Bhuvan’s first track to be released this year, Heer Ranjha, was one of the highlights of 2020 for Bhuvan, marking record breaking success.
With more than 7.1 Million streams and 1.2M listeners Bhuvan is among the top 10 most streamed Indie artists in the country for his track which broke all previous records and hit to #1 across charts on iTunes beating BTS and Maroon 5 within an hour of its release. As per the statistics shared by Spotify, Bhuvan’s songs were streamed for 405.9 hours across 89 countries in 2020.
Bhuvan has been consistent with putting out some unmatched content throughout the year. With major projects underway to launch soon this young entertainer is all set to welcome the New Year with a bang.
