Central Railway, on the 14th day of Swachha Pakhwada observed Swachh Pratiyogita (competition) on all 5 divisions of the zone. Swachhata Pakhwara activities on Central Railway gradually reached its culmination. Most of the divisions organized online competitions like drawing, painting, short video films on themes of plastic ban, environment sustainability and cleanliness. Some divisions organized slogan competitions on Swachhata themes.
Mumbai division has organized drawing competition for the children of labourers and children from Child Care an NGO which has its booth operating at CSMT. The competition organized in the booking hall of platform No.18 saw participation of 30 children. A hygiene kit comprising of mask, tooth paste and tooth brush, Dettol soap, shampoo and hair oil was distributed to the children participated. 1st, 2nd and and 3rd prize winners in the competition were also awarded.
Swachhata awareness rally was organized at Pune station and competitions were also held for labourers and cleaning staff to motivate them. Intensive cleaning of platform undertook at Satara station.
On the 14th day of Swachhata Pakhwara Nagpur division observed Swachh Competition in the most effective manner by conducting online competitions on Plastic ban and clean environment. Participants from Wardha, Ballarshah, Dhamangaon, Amla and Ghoradongari took part in the competitions. At Nagpur station placards and pamphlets issued in the rally organized by an NGO to bring awareness on Child line 24 hours, taking all precautions on Covid-19. A video clip on plastic ban was submitted by participants of Ghoradongari station.
Solapur station organized drawing, slogan and essay competitions on environmental themes for staff and family. It undertook awareness programmes and rallies in railway colonies apart from various shramdaan activities.
Mechanized cleaning of platforms and stations was undertook at Bhusaval and surrounding areas of station cleaned in Amravati. At Shegaon water stands and railway offices were intensively cleaned.
