RASIKA DUGAL AND PURAB KOHLI ENACT 17-PAGE LONG CLIMAX SCENE FOR HOTSTAR SPECIALS PRESENTS OUT OF LOVE

November 28, 2019

Hotstar Specials latest show, Out of Love traces the life of Dr Meera Kapoor, a devoted mother, a loving wife to Akarsh Kapoor and a successful doctor. Everything in her seemingly perfect life changes when she suspects her husband of having an affair. Starring Rasika Dugal, Purab Kohli and Soni Razdan, the show has been directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Aijaz Khan who have ensured high scale drama through the 5-episode series.

Each scene in the show has been crafted in such a way that it brings out the true emotions of every character. One scene that specifically stands out from the others is the climax. With 17 pages long script and shot across the span of two days, it was not an easy task for the cast or crew to ensure that the complexity of the emotion is maintained.

Actor Purab Kohli said, “One of the longest scenes I have done in my entire career of over 22 years, is in Out of Love. It was the climax scene and 17 pages long which would normally translate to 17 minutes in screen time. We shot it over two days and what made it harder was the complexity of emotions.”

An official adaptation of multi award winning show Doctor Foster, Out of Love is a riveting portrait of a marriage that’s poisoned by infidelity, heartbreak and betrayal. Starring powerhouse talent Rasika Dugal and Purab Kohli in the lead, the show also stars Soni Razdan, Harsh Chhaya, Aanjjan Srivaastav and Sanghmitra Hitaishi in pivotal roles. Produced by BBC Studios, the show has been directed by critically acclaimed filmmakers, Tigmanshu Dhulia and Aijaz Khan.
