SIDDHANT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING ORGANISED A GRAND INDUCTION PROGRAMME FOR FIRST YEAR STUDENTS

Siddhant Group of Institutions - The prestigious Siddhant College of Engineering hosted a grand induction ceremony on September 16, 2025, for students entering the first year of the academic year 2025-26.

The chief guests of the ceremony were Dr. Pramod Patil Sir (Dean, Department of Science and Technology, Savitribai Phule Pune University), and Dr. Suresh Shirbahudharkar Sir (Chairman, Board of Studies, Electronics and Telecommunications, Savitribai Phule Pune University).

The event was attended by the Honorable Shri Rajendra Singh Yadav Sir (Founder and President of Siddhant Group of Institutions), Shri Siddhant Yadav Sir (Vice President of Siddhant Group of Institutions), Dr. Laxman Kamble Sir (Principal, Siddhant College of Engineering), Dr. Uttam Shinde Sir (Vice Principal, Siddhant College of Engineering), Shri Harihar Chaure Sir (Registrar, Siddhant College of Engineering), Prof. Ashish Raut Sir (Academic Coordinator), Prof. Bhagwat Kedar Sir (Admissions Coordinator), Prof. Richa Nigote (Training and Placement Officer), Prof. Nanda Kulkarni (National Service Scheme (NSS) Maval Division Coordinator), and the Heads of all departments, all teaching and non-teaching staff.

The main objective of the induction program was to introduce new students to the academic, cultural, and social environment of the college. In his speech, Chief Guest Dr. Pramod Patil Sir encouraged the newly admitted students and provided detailed guidance on the radical changes to the engineering curriculum in the New Education Policy 2020. He also urged them to strive towards a bright future through hard work and dedication. He emphasized, "Engineering is not just a means of learning technology, but an opportunity for social service and innovation."

Program Chairman Dr. Suresh Shirbahadurkar Sir, in his speech, stated that engineering is not just about technical education, but also about innovation, problem-solving, and the power to embrace social responsibility.

College Principal Dr. Laxman Kamble Sir said, "My advice is to set goals, think positively, and regularly improve yourself. Success comes not only to those with knowledge, but also to those who work hard."

Siddhant College of Engineering, Sudumbare, Pune, is proud to introduce a new, highly significant BE - Cyber ​​Security course from the 2025-26 academic year, a first for any engineering college affiliated to the University of Pune. Additionally, a highly significant course, "Internet of Things" (IoT), was introduced in the previous 2024-25 academic year and received an overwhelming response from students. Recognizing the urgent need for this in today's digital age, Siddhant College of Engineering has introduced new courses such as AIML, AIDS, IoT, ECE, Electrical, and Cyber ​​Security.

During the program, Dr. Uttam Shinde Sir, Vice Principal and Head of Department, briefed the first-year students on the college's history, regulations, academic structure, library, laboratory facilities, and sports department. Students were also guided on various competitions, cultural events, and cooperative group work.
