Facebook’s Fundraisers allows people to set up a dedicated page to tell others about a cause and rally around a fundraising goal, something that has been helpful in the Covid19 relief efforts. Proceeds from the concert this weekend will be used to help singers and musicians who have been affected by the pandemic. The 6-hour long concert will go live exclusively on Facebook through official pages of United Singers Charitable Trust, Anirudh Ravichander, D Imman and G.V. Prakash Kumar on September 12, 2020 at 6pm. People will be able to make a donation via the donate button next to the video while watching the concert.

Srinivas, Founder Trustee, United Singers Charitable Trust, said, “The fundraiser concert, backed by a renowned line-up of musicians feels like the nation uniting to help the struggling musicians and singers fight the battle against COVID-19. Although we are starting to amass support, this concert going live on the world's largest social media platform will help us to reach millions of people and boost the momentum of our initiative.

We are grateful to everyone who has collaborated with us.”

Manish Chopra, Director and Head of Partnerships, Facebook India, said, “Our mission of building communities and bringing people together is even more relevant today than ever before, with physical distancing becoming the new normal and economic disruption due to COVID-19 impacting several sectors. Our partnership with United Singers Charitable Trust will provide a platform to this musical extravaganza; bringing the best of artists and music lovers together for a cause.”

With Facebook Fundraisers, anyone can set up a dedicated page for a cause, and rally others around a fundraising goal. Since 2015, people around the globe have raised over $3 billion dollars on Facebook to support causes they care about.

The concert is co conceived and organised by Silver Tree Talent Management in Chennai.
